HOMEARAMA 2008 FEATURES NEW TRENDS AND IDEAS
It’s Showtime. The 41st Homearama will open July 12 and run through July 27 in beautiful Locust Creek off US 60 4 ½ miles east of the Snyder Freeway. Sponsored by LG&E and Insight, Homearama 2008 offers 11 fully furnished and exquisitely decorated homes for visitors to tour. Traditional, elegant, old world, contemporary, natural, classic and energy efficient describe the various styles and fashions you will see at Homearama.
Some of the homes have beautiful views of a lake and fountain in Locust Creek. There are several new and exciting trends featured in many homes this year, most notably, ceilings with faux finishes, murals, wood beams, reverse barrels, treys and hip & barrel vaults and many homes with art niches for homeowners to show their collectibles and antiques. For the Harry Potter fans there is a built in bookcase that serves as a secret entrance to a hidden space designed after Harry Potter’s “magic room”. A one of a kind bourbon bar with reclaimed wood from a bourbon distillery, a unique and warm stone hallway leading to a large master bedroom overlooking the lake, a bar area introduced with 100 year old brick provide just a couple of other trends that will provide a new look to the homes on tour. Outdoor kitchens, an in ground pool, a maple hardwood dance floor, a game lounge, the latest in home theatres and kitchen appliances will inspire and excite visitors of all ages!
