Traditional Homes' two-story Classical Vernacular home is beautifully positioned on a corner lot and offers owners 4,500 square feet. The St. James features four bedrooms and four-and-a-half baths and an open floor plan that allows for simple everyday living.  A large wrap-around covered porch creates a unique outdoor living space that's ideal for enjoying the gorgeous views of the fountain and ambiance of Meeting Street. Corner bay windows add to the nostalgic charm of the St. James while cream painted brick with black trim and a second story porch contribute to the head-turning exterior of Colin Osborn's home.

Beautiful hardwood and slate flooring anchor classically designed spaces within. The foyer introduces an open double staircase that suggests this is a home that's meant to be explored.  A beamed ceiling attracts guests to the large grand room, which features Osborn's signature corner bay window and a gorgeous hearth.  Ideal for family gatherings, the grand room lives up to its name, with an elegance and style that sets the tone for The St. James throughout.  Nearby, a spacious dining area is just steps away from the beautiful, gated courtyard, where dessert will more likely be enjoyed and afternoon naps in the shade can be savored.

The kitchen features a door to the foyer that can be closed for added privacy while the hostess makes last-minute party preparations.  Professional appliances and an island offer just what she needs to create that one-of-a-kind dining experience.  A large walk-in pantry houses an additional freezer, making it easy to store up for the winter.  Just beyond the kitchen and dining area is a creative computer nook that offers views of the courtyard beyond, allowing homeowners to get organized online while still enjoying the beautiful natural surroundings of The St. James.  Nearby, a mudroom with built-ins offers convenient access to the two-car garage and spacious laundry room, which includes a utility sink.

A see-through fireplace between the master bedroom and the courtyard adds warmth and style to both spaces.  Easy access between the two allows Mother Nature to help play a role in the look and feel of the master suite. Brick veneer in the sleeping chambers contributes texture and historical elegance. The tray ceiling and upscale design of the space offer owners a retreat they'll most certainly want to come home to.  A large walk-in closet features a built-in linen cabinet and is sectioned off to allow for both spouses to keep clothing organized. The master bath includes two vanities and an elegant bathing space.

The upper level of The St. James includes three additional bedrooms, one of which can be used as a media room and takes advantage of the quaint corner bay window area.  A gorgeous fireplace, walk-in closet and private bath make it easy to imagine this as a second master suite. Access to the vaulted porch might convince homeowners to claim this room for themselves. Two additional bedrooms and a bath are also featured upstairs.

The lower level features a bar with thin brick walls and tile floors.  The wine cellar and theater room make The St. James an ideal entertainment venue. Another bedroom and full bath create a wonderful guest retreat and offer homeowners additional space. The Energy Star qualified home features a Carrier Infinity heating and cooling system, along with Owens Corning's pink fiberglass loose fill insulation and energy complete sealing systems. With room to add more living space in the future, The St. James is a home that offers plenty of reasons to imagine building a very long life within its many charming spaces.
